Real soon now, we'll get shot of the current control room.

Below is a picture of the BB&C computer club BBS as it used to reside in my basement. Although this looks bad enough, it got MUCH more complex before it found a new home. This shot appeared  in the club newsletter in October, 1992.

By 1995 the BBS had grown into a bit of a patchwork monster. This was the computer room in the garage which handled the dialup lines. In the rec room we had the main servers including the one hooked to a satellite dish. We sent all of our outgoing data on phone lines but downloaded the bulk of the incoming data through the satellite. The time had come to clean up the mess. The following photos were taken by Joe Carr.

Steve Holland on the left and myself on the right as we contemplate unraveling things. Yes that is my radial arm saw I'm leaning on. It had become a multi computer stand as well.

Barry Cooper is in the first picture as he considers his next move. The next shot shows Steve and Barry having fun with the wiring.

Steve is taking apart some more of the old setup, then we see Barry and Steve admiring the new.

Ahhhhh! That's better!

Some days I feel like doing this.
